I just got these in the mail for an upcoming trip. I have been wearing them for about an hour at work. They are what I hoped they would be.For some background, I got Under Armour shoes when they used to be cheap ($30-50). People complained they would wear out so fast. They were cheap, and comfortable because it was just a mesh attached to an EVA foam sole. Lots of companies are doing this, but they add some harder rubber to certain areas to slow down the wear-out process.Looking at normal water shoes, I knew that my feet would be killing me with those thin soles (my feet get tired from walking barefoot in my house because I should lose a few pounds). I had seen a lady about 10 years ago talking about her water shoes that looked like normal shoes (the context was a school field day with water slides I think). So my thought was... if I could find some water shoes with thick EVA soles, they would basically be Under Armour shoes with holes in them and no foam in the tongue.Sure enough, these appear to be it! So if that's what you're looking for, these are a great option. The heel is not as thick or something, Or it doesn't cup the heel enough. Either way, when standing still I feel pressure in my heel more than my Under Armour shoes. But it's not bad, it's nothing like flip-flops or thin water shoes. Some things I don't like. There is some plastic structure in the knitted upper, which I really like and am glad is there, but it comes all smashed down and I cannot get the plastic in the toe to 'hold up'. if it was slightly thicker, or maybe had some foam in there to hold it in the right shape between the factory and home, it might help. My right foot looks better than my left foot, so there's potential.Another thing that I'm not sure about: the insole has a fishnet on it. I think that is to give grip when your foot is wet. but I feel like it's going to rub my foot sore. Only time will tell. The insole is removable, and there is a sock-like material under the insole, so maybe the insole is to be removed when you don't have on socks? I was wearing them for about an hour with socks, but only a few minutes without socks. Time will tell. I expect to update this review after my trip.A minor thing, the elastic seems a little long for the size of the shoe. The ends were as far as you could pull right out of the box without creating a floppy situation, and they were loose in relation to the knitted upper. I think I'll just cut the elastic, and tie a knot, and put a flame to the ends to prevent fraying.
